Royal Mews is open again

February 4, 2019

The Royal Mews, which makes all the road travel arrangements for the Queen and other members of the Royal Family, has just opened its doors once more.  It is one of the finest working stables in existence and offers the chance for people to see the Royal carriages used in ceremonies including the Gold State coach used at every Coronation since George IV's in 1861.  Children in particular love to see the Windsor Greys and the Cleveland Bays, the two types of horses used to pull the carriages.  Open every day from 10.00 a.m., it is worth every penny of the £12 adult admission fee.
